In partnership with the McKnight Foundation, MCAD presents a retrospective of McKnight 2022 Distinguished Artist Douglas R. Ewart, master multi-instrumentalist musician, composer, instrument maker, sound sculptor, painter, writer, and teacher.

MCAD’s BLACK ARTIST COLLECTIVE: YOUNG, GIFTED, AND BLACK
Inspired by Nina Simone’s 1969 song “To Be Young, Gifted, and Black”, MCAD’s Black Artist Collective celebrates the joy of Blackness and the many ways it is realized through art and design.
